Introduction to happified

Happified is an initiative by the youth to promote honesty and spread happiness.

Every morning we read a number of newspapers where the first page starts with the news on latest scam and from murders to rape, its goes on and on. This leaves very strong impressions on our mind that every one in this world is mean and cruel which is not true. Misdeeds of few are glorified and we starts generalising things. This has lead to Slogans like, "100 mein 99 beiman, phir bhi mera bharat mahan!!"

Mean while we completely fail to notice the good deeds done every where around us. Happified brings up the stories of such humans who selflessly work towards betterment of the society and happified does it the youth way, where it serves a complete platter of a star of the edition, walk an extra mile where we promote people who went a step ahead to help others, peoms, yes+ achievers, kitchen corner, jokes, bawa dinesh corner, sri sri corner and a lots of stuff. We intend to bring a smile to our readers face and awaken the hero within them.

There are 2 ways to do a thing, like in corruption, either you fight against it or support honesty. We face a lot of resistance when we fight against something. But when we support something like honesty, it grows. Its grows within us and in this outer world.
Like in gardening, sowing seeds for plants and flowers is easier than removing the unwanted weeds that grow up. Happified sows the seeds of honesty, love which is already within us, helps it grow and a smile is the fruit it bears!!

Why should you be a part of happified??

Simply because you already are a part of it!! Everything we do right from the first thing in the morning, is to be ,happy!! Our final intentions behind every action is to be happy. we meet people with whom we stay happy, we try to stay away from people, in the company of whom, we get upset!! happified is that platform where you can stay happy and spread it to the world. A wise men named justin timberlake once said, "what goes around, comes around!!" When we make others happy, our happiness is taken care of!!

Why we shout in anger!!

A Hindu saint who was visiting river Ganges to take bath found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He turned to his disciples smiled 'n asked.

'Why do people shout in anger shout at each other?'

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout.'

'But, why should you shout when the other person is just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner.' asked the saint

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples.
Finally the saint explained, .

'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance.

What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either nonexistent or very small...'

The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper 'n they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other 'n that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'

He looked at his disciples 'n said.

'So when you argue do not let your hearts get distant, Do not say words that distance each other more, Or else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.'

Ashtavakra gyaan day 24

Day 24

Be spontaneous in your actions, spontaneous action is the right action.

Be content and happy in action and inaction.

Ashtavakra gyaan 17,18,20,21,22,23

Day 17

If one can see beyond appearance, he will get firmly established in the reality and the divinity. It is all hollow and empty.

Day 18

Life is purity and inertia is impurity. Whatever is inert is impure amd whatever is dynamic or active is pure. When you are dull, you are impure. When you are alive, you are pure.

There are three places of action: body, mind and speech.

Day 20

Thoughts come and go in the mind. None of the thoughts are yours. They have their own wave.

There are two ways to drop the worries, one way is to be aware of the reality of the truth that everything is changing. And the other way is to be more centered. This is called dispassion.

Being unaware of the grace, love and the joy that the divine is pouring on us all the time, is the cause of worry.

You are the mind, the consciousness, you are the energy inside the body, you are neither the body, nor this body is yours.

Walk as though you are already enlightened, move like a cloud. Everything is done and finished. The whole journey is finished

Like all rivers flow into the seas and oceans, for the one who is satisfied, all desires, even before they arise, get fulfilled.

Day 21

This entire creation is amazing, just observe it, it is a bog amusement park.

Be in silence, weigh your words and spend them. Do not throw them about, and lose them for nothing.

Your mind has to be one-pointed to achieve things in the world. The mind becomes restless to achieve things, but to attain self realization your heart has to be one-pointed.

Day 22

Samadhi is silence in the mind through meditation, singing, dancing, intoxicated devotion, and through hundred percent effort in any activity.

Disturbance in the small mind vanish when they are in the assembly of the big mind.

The day when you feel bad is the day you should go out and ask what you can do for others.

Day 23

Your concept that things should be in a certain way, causes pain in your mind. Set concepts in the mind are the cause of distress. Living in the present moment is only possible when you can drop these concepts.

When you see a mistake and just a mistake, and not 'my' mistake, then there will not be any guilt. You will see mistake that needs rectification(whether it is yours or someone else's). Then your mind will become lighter.

Keep moving like a cloud.

Ashtavakra gyaan day 13-16

Day 13

To one who has made himself hollow and empty, devoid of all conflicts, devoid of all hankerings, none of these worldly things will either please or bring sorrow.

The difference between enlightenment and un-enlightenment is like the difference between a game and a war. War aims at joy in the end, where as in a game the very process is joy. (Pg164)

Day 14

Balance in activity, balance in food, balance in your rest, you sleep, will bring equilibrium within you - the balance and union.

When your mind retreats from all five senses and goes inside, you are in laya i.e. Rhythm and dissolving

The beginning of spirituality is when personalities disappear from your head.

Krishna said, there is no difference between enlightened i.e. One who knows himself and him(krishna) because enlightened are not away from him, even for a moment and he is not away from them.

Day 15

Three type of purity
purity of body
Purity of speech
Purity of feelings

Your criticism of other people should be just from the throat, if it goes little beyond, deeper, it is poisonous.

The identification - becoming one with the feeling, is the cause of the turbulence or turmoil.

An emotion is healthy only if it stays as long as a line on surface of water.

Through the eyes of janaka, the entire world was just bubbles on the surface of water i.e. One consciousness manifesting itself in so many ways.

The whole universe is a magic show and people are lost in their show and display various emotions.

Day 16

Bondage is not anywhere outside, it is in the mind, in the consciousness.

When you do good to people, do it out of your nature. Forget about how they behave and their reaction towards you.

Consciously being aware, dissolving the 'I' in me; when 'I' ceases to exist, that is freedom, that is liberation.

When you know that something is unknowable then you have known about it. Wanting to know creates the desire and keeps you in the future. Knowing it is to know that it is unknowable by the intellect or the mind, and that existence cannot be measured through your tiny intellect.

Spirituality is honouring the secret and accepting it. It stabilizes,it flowers and it blossoms.

Shraddha means not knowing what it is, but being willing to know with love something that is unknown. Loving the unknown is shraddha.

When there is shraddha, knowledge dawns in you.

'Why' is like a hook; a question mark is like a hook. It means you are hooked to the past.

Dispassion is the only way you can be centered.

Everything, every event in this world is to bake you, heat you up. And if you put your finger deeper into it, you get burned.

Page 207 and 208 - must read pages!!

Be contented with what you have and you will see perfection and siddhi dawning in you.

Ashtavakra gyaan day 10-12

Day 10

Only when you are ready to lose yourself in your infinite nature, are you totally united with brhama, the infinity, the divine.

Joy is an intense sensation arising in you. Observe and you'll realize that all the sensations are arising here

Like a wave in ocean, the entire universe springs from me. I am all this. I am the infinite ocean.

All the Desires arise when your mind is not fully conscious. A semi conscious mind is the mother of desires.
In an awake mind, there are no desires because everything is already acquired!

The liveliness of consciousness comes in every cell of our body. If every cell of your body becomes alive the desire will automatically vanish

In the morning when you get up, feel as though you are the infinite sky.

Seeing fleeting events as though they are reality

You are the most amazing and wonderful being. You are this infinite being - endless and pure, full of light and love.

Day 11

There is one golden point by which the mind can be lifted up, and that is wonder.

Wonder awaken you, and makes you aware of what is happening.

If you feel anything is unacceptable, uncommon, or not the way it should be, you can either work your mind on it, losing all your love, faith and positive direction towards it, or you can just wonder about it.

You mind is not clear and focused when there is an obsession, or when desire is burning in you. And see how calm, collected, cool and aware your mind is when desires drop.

See the self, the one self everywhere and in everything. And there will be no anger, disturbance or fulfilment by the things around. The whole thing is like a game.

When activities and actions happen in the body, look at them as though they are happening in some other body.
Look at hunger in the stomach as though it is happening in another body

Detach the connection you have with the words of others i.e. Being the football of others opinions.

Day 12

Fear is like salt, a little bit of it keeps one alert. You become awake in the present moment.

You can only wonder at fear if it exists even after enlightenment. Because these are moments, not your permanent nature.

Desire arise when we think present moment is not enough, it is a craving for a future moment.

Curiosity is the beginning of mind and wonder is the end of mind. Curiosity is the mother of science and wonder is the mother of spirituality.

Maya means that which can be measured. Universe is called a maya.

The entire universe and its experiences are present in some degree within our self.

One who has known one's self knows that entire universe is as amazing as one's own self.

If you see the world out of curiosity, you will never understand it as maya. But the one who can see this universe as a maya, has surpassed curiosity.

Ashtavakra gyaan day 7-9

Day 7

The body dropping you, is death and you dropping the body is meditation(samadhi)

Its fortunate to be able to meditate and being consciously unaware of the body for a few minutes!!

Every single being is the same inside, in the innermost core, hollow and empty. However the person behaves or acts outside, inside he is my own form

We love ourself and everything attached to this self. We do things for others coz we see them as part of our self. If this become clear in your mind, you'll never be unhappy.

Rejoice is joy without conflict, rejoice in self without conflict.

The body gives you an idea of being different and of everybody else being different. It divides the existence into two. When you perceive skillfully, then you will note that you are not different from the entire existence.

When you bow down to your self, you have bowed down to everything in the universe.

Day 8

When the mind dies, love dawns

Duality is the cause of sorrow. The two is the cause of sorrow not one. 'I am devoted to..' This 'to' implies that I am separate from that to which I am devoted.

When devotion fulfils it goals, knowledge dawns and reveals that the knower, the knowledge and the known are one and united

Being devoted is not sufficient. But knowing you are an indivisible, inseparable part of them is knowledge.

When there is no bondage, there is no question of liberation.

A devotee is very dear to god, but an enlightened is even more, coz in devotee there is a little gap. The devotee thinks he is separate from divine, but an enlightened doesn't see an separation.

The mind feeds on illusions. It wants something that is not around, the moment he gets it, it moves away from there and goes further

Day 9

Many storms arise and subside. Just be aware when you are in a storm, that very moment it will subside. You are yourself only between the storms

Every storm that comes into your life widens your horizons, makes you deeper and more powerful.

Every storm is a blessing. If you are knowledgeable, you will laugh at it.

In knowledge you grow out of an event. It is your life jacket in the storm.

Its the individual who gets destroyed, infinity is indestructible.

Its all a play!!

Ashtavakra gyaan day 4-6

Day 4:
Our mind is like a camera, taking pictures of event as they take place; but the events are not there. The camera in your mind gives you any illusion, a feeling that they stay and are big.

When you can see the entire event as fleet impositions or happening, and you remain untouched by them, then you are happy.

You are free. If you feel you are free, you are free. If you feel you are bound, you are bound!!

What ever thought you encourage about yourself, is the direction you move in.

You are free. You have just been overshadowed by the events in your mind.

You are complete. Don't think you are incomplete and have to do something to complete Yourself.

With knowledge and sadhna you can remove ignorance and not grow because you are already grown. Its like removing husk from paddy, rice is already present in there.

There is no two. Only you are there. Everyone is your own reflection.

Know that you are pure crystal, niranjanaha, untouched and unstained by anything

Day 5

The universe is very dynamic. Nothing is static here. What appears to be static is an apparent illusion.

But there Is something that is non changing. Something deep inside you, what you call 'I' is not changing.

So in meditation, one experiences the feeling of changelessness, the transcendental experience.

But by limiting your experience in meditation to be a reality, you are bound again. Seeing the exp. As a living reality, even when in activity, is freedom.

A devotee is a thorough combination of both love and respect, that divine love.
When there is love without respect, you don't take anything very seriously. When there is only respect without love, then the nearness is lost.

Day 6

God self and consciousness are the same. There is nothing outside god, u just need skill to look at it. Everything is god

All that exist is truth;all events are falsehood because they don't exist, they move.

That which is changeless is truth; that which changes is an illusion. Illusion does not mean nonexistence, but it is ever changing.

Your mind is a bubble on the surface of infinity, a wave of bubble in the self!!

Your moods are bubbles on the surface of ur mind. A mood remains not more than 2 and quarter days, pleasant or unpleasant.

Ashtavakra gyaan day 1-3

Day 1
Don't answer unless questioned

If someone demands an answer, stay silent. A demanding person has no ears. They have removed them and kept it aside like dentures

People who are for something or against something in extreme, both ways they are caught up in it.

Five principles:
Contentment
Truth
Compassion
Sincerity
Forgiveness

Day 2

The five elements; the earth , fire, ether, water and air element have subtle control on the mind. Mind is made up of these elements.

There r main 5 types of sensations and moods that arise.

Feeling of heaviness - earth element

Fiery feeling or feverishness,
Lot of anger, tightness or burning sensation - fire element

Movement or wanting to run away and go somewhere - air element

Feeling of togetherness, oneness, a flowing floating feeling - water element

Fear love, discomfort and total confort- ether element

You are none of these 5 elements, none of these elements stay all the time, they stay for some time and vanish

There is freedom when you realise you are just a witness to all happening. All the states of mind are temporary. You are pure consciousness - untouched and unstained by any event or happening!!

If you want to worry, worry big! Worry abt the future of this planet, the whole universe. The moment worry becomes big, it becomes joy.

Day 3

Our impressions, identifications or ideas about ourselves are the cause of our misery. Wisdom is not having any fixed idea about yourself in your mind!!

Indentifications we get stuck in can be male female, younger or older, skilled or unskilled. Class and status in society!!

You cannot be seen by your eyes.the self cannot be seen because the seer is the self. You can only "be" that all and meditation is just being, not having an experience or doing something.

When you see events as just 'happening', rather than as 'doing', you are liberated right away.

Not to do, to undo, is another doing. The desire to do something to get out of it is another 'doing'.

Just be happy! Sukhi bhava! It is an order as well as a blessing. Be happy, devoid of sorrow.

Coin life flips at us.

Every day Life flips a coin at us,
Day on a side and night on another
Both are good, both are bad
Some let them pass, some live them.

Every day life flips a coin at us,
Smile on a side and tear on another
Some smile through adversity
Some have tears of happiness

Every day life flips a coin at us,
Sleep on a side, worry on another
Some rest in the self,
Some run away from it

Everyday life flips a coin at us
Love on a side and lust on another
Some dive in the moment,
Some sink in misery

Everyday life flips a coin at us,
Some cry for a side,
Some take them both!!

Fakiraa

Kaahe tanke khada hai fakiraa
Daulat mein moti toh khub honge
Shej pe phool toh khub honge
Takiye pe neend kaha se laega

Kaahe tanke hai khada re fakiraa
Pyasa to choakhat se pyasa lot gaya
Apno ko bhi tu yuhi bhul gaya
Aab ye toh bata,
kriya mein aanaj kise khilawe ga

Kaahe tanke hai khada re fakiraa
Kaahe taade aasman ko ye teri naak
Iss Paap ri gathri se mukti kaise paega
Aab ye toh bata, uss Khuda se nazre kaise milaega

Kaahe tanke hai khada re fakiraa
Rishwat se har kaam ho jaega
Ji husuri se toh har daam mil jaega
Per ye toh bata, jaate jaate laare kya chod jaega

Kaahe tanke hai khada re fakiraa
Manoranjan ke toh se khub sadan hai
Dil behlane ke bhi khub tareeke hai
Akele chalte chalte, dhak kar, jab peeche mudega, kya koi nazaar aaega??

Kaahe tanke hai khade re fakiraa

Gangs of wasseypur reviews

"Teri keh ke lunga" , isn't that catchy when you read it on the posters, it appeals a bit when sardar khan (manoj bhajpai) says it, but has the potential to become a landmark dialogue. We Can say the same for the movie too.

Manoj bhajpai, has definitely played a character which is going to live long, if not as long as vito corleone from the movie The Godfather. He is fearless, cunning, loving, merciless, lusty and desi.
You would love sardar khan's wife and her surprising character, surprising because every time you think "she is just another desi wife" , she would prove you wrong. From allowing his husband to visit prostitutes when she is pregnant, feeding him more so that he performs better in bed with those prostitutes, training her son to take bomb making material to jail in a tiffin box to using coloured language, She is a wonderfully designed character.
Durga (sardar khan's mistress) plays a sultry character, who misses no chance to seduce sardar singh and the audience. she has shown a women in sexy in saree can be more sexy than one in a bikini.
GOW is like reading a novel, the story starts pre-independence and go on and on exploring different characters and their stories. It isn't just about sardar khan's revenge from the killer of his father, but every single character form the story.
You may feel, GOW is anurag kashap's attempt to make an Indian version Godfather series, but it would be unfair to call it a copy. Director has succeeded in keeping every character exclusive and very fresh. Their isn't much scope for predictability as the story jumps from one character to another, and than again to sardar khan.
Sardar khan's attempted assassination plot at the end of this part, was strikingly similar to godfather sequence  where vito corleone is attacked.
Movie promises a second part, which would take the story ahead from where it stops.
I paid Rs.190 for the movie and was quite satisfied. Am sure rowdies and goons are gonna use "Teri keh ke lunga" line while their mess ups.
A Good Movie!!!

Wonder mean of ik Onkar.

Ik Onkar- god is one
Satnam - His name is true.
Karta purakh - He is maker of the whole world
Nirbhau - He is fearless
Nirvair - He never hates anyone
Akaal Murat - He is beyond the time. he is immortal.
Ajooni - he never dies nor takes birth
Saibhang - Neither anyone has created him nor anyone gave him birth. He is self created.
Gurparasad - Only true guru can help us to meet him..

Conversation between Love and hate

From hate to love:
yes, the whole world looks for you, but I possess them.
Where ever you go, you'll find me there.
When ever one finds you, I'll find him soon
100 words of you and 1 word of me

Love:
You may be true, but am the truth !!

Hate:
I am in your truth too, I make it painful.
World prefer to lie 100 times against your 1 truth
You are contaminated, am pure.

Love:
You maybe pure, but am the purity

Hate:
I have brought legends down, emperors to fall
I drew lines on the earth
You may be in demand, but am the supply
Humans fight in open, love in closed

Love:
They may fight in open, but their hearts are closed.
They may love in closed, but their hearts are open.

Hate:
In you, I am the lust.
In you, I am the jealousy
In you, I am the anger
In you, I AM

Love:
You maybe in me, but I still prevail !!

Shanghai Reviews (if you go for shanghai, take you brain along)

Saw #Shanghai , first of all, kasam khoon ki khai hai, seher nahi shanghai hai!! A very catchy line which comes on a perfect time.

Movie can be more described as modern art, very good if you understood and if not, start praising emraan hashmi!!! I would divide the movie among 3 men; emraan hashmi, dibakar beneerji and abhay deol. Emraan came out of his bhatt boy character and embraced jogi(thumps up), he is the one to watch in movie. The chances that you would like jogi increase by the fact that you haven't seen him doing anything like this before. You just can't miss emraan as jogi. Abhay deol played his role in his own subtle style, what makes krishnan come alive is the fact that he is very human. He isn't shown a larger than life hero or some extra ordinary character, am sure many real life officials would relate to him. He is honest, smart and again human. You may not go crazy behind him but you won't hate him either. now let's come to the director, dibakar tried to stick to his topic and story line leaving no room for non-relevant content perhaps that's what people would miss. We are habitual of masala movies and old habits die hard. He has a very sound and practical thinking process, will make you think very now and than, so do carry your brain along. kalki played her role well, but she has nothing for you to take away with post movie. Paid Rs.110 for the movie and I don't regret, my opinion could have differed if I would have paid some amount like Rs.250 for the movie. Last verdict : Movie can be more described as modern art, very good if you understood and if not, start praising emraan hashmi!!!
