Guru as a soap dish.

We like to preserve everything; we get plastic covers for remotes, mobiles, TV etc. We also have a dish for our bath soap, to preserve it for a longer time. These covers preserve objects but to preserve our soul, we have our guru. When we keep our soap in a soap dish, it prevents it from water. All the water passes from its pours keeping the soap dry. Similarly when we surrender to a guru, he absorbs all our problems and keeps us protected. Soap dish have caps, which works like an armor for the soap. Guru's blessing forms armor around you. A soap dish keeps the soap above the floor level, to keep it dry. Guru's knowledge helps you rise above the vices.

A walk to remember!!

You might have read the famous love story, "a walk to remember" in past, but this story is full of love for the divine. Even though i am lazy to do any hard work, i always wanted to walk to siddhivinayak. From past few years, i made plans to go but never implemented them. This time, it seems divine himself wanted to see me. With a few friends, we made the plan of walking to dadar, it war decide we'll go on 10 sept. on the eve of ganesh utsav. When the day arrived, it wasn't unusual to see people backing off but was still discouraging. I firm determination of walking to dadar was a bit shaken, but divine had his own plans. It was around 7 pm when i came know, all my friends have decided to stay back except 1. I was at the receiving end of a scary feeling, as walk from malad to dadar was not a cake walk. When time approached, i had my bath and left for a, "walk to remember". I had hardly reached goregaon, when i felt a pain in my back. Well it was just the beginning of a journey but it wasn't long when pain was replaced by excitement to meet my friend ganesha. Now there was no stopping. Jogeshwari. . . Andheri. . . Vile parle. . . And on and on. . I clicked a picture on almost all stations(as a proof i did walked all the way). We reached siddhivinayak at 3.55am. In 5 mins. gate were open and people started entering. I was in front of the divine by 4.30, i was at complete peace, not able to think anything or do anything. I just bowed and made my way out, to give other devotees a chance to make peace with the lord.

Guru is like a door stopper.

When you push the door hard, door stopper prevents it from going beyond a limit, saving it from damage. So is a guru. When bad times push you in every possible corner, guru prevents you from getting off track.
No matter how hard you push the door, stopper always stops it without causing any damage. It has rubber coating on the top. So is the guru, he has a layer of wisdom around him. No matter how difficult the times are, guru's knowledge always helps you rising from miseries.
A stopper is fixed to a place, it is always there for the door. So is the guru, he is always there for you.
If you notice, stopper is placed behind the door to prevent the door going backwards but guru places him behind you, to makes sure you always move ahead and never stop anywhere on your path.

Essence of soul is Sadhna.

Love is the food on which our soul thrives. Love is the center around which everything revolves and evolves. In normal day to day life, we forget to feed our soul. Our mind is too occupied to think for our soul. Sadhna cleans that clatter of our mind and relaxes it. A relaxed mind witness joy in every action and with Sadhna it can also preserves that joyful state of mind for a longer period.
Sadhna is an addiction, in absence of which our mind refuses to be happy. As soon as the moments that make you happy pass, you lose the joyfulness. With Sadhna, your problems disappear. They might still be there, but they don’t affect you and distract you from your goals. Now all you can do is, just smile when you see others facing problems that once you did.
Addiction to Sadhna is desirable and also a must. If you haven't experienced the bliss yet, you should do it, NOW.

Dream or Nightmare

I am sitting in big room full of people. They are all sitting on different tables, it looks like a restaurant. I am there with two of my friends, ronak and rushabh. We are having good time, eating and laughing. I see a waiter coming with a big bottle towards us, it can be wine or champagne. I think we are celebrating something. I am looking at the waiter while he is opening the bottle and pours it in my glass. he hand’s over the glass to me, leaving me confused as to whether who has ordered this. I hear a voice of my father behind me, who is sounding upset on seeing me with wine. I try to convince him that I am unaware of this but words fail to come out of my mouth. I get angry at my friends for making an order for hard drinks. Soon I see waiter coming towards me with bill. ronak takes the bill and divides the bill into three shares which comes to around 1300 each. I am still shouting at my friends. There is a strange woman standing beside us with a child in her hands. She is standing very close to us and listening to everything we are speaking. While leaving I decide to leave with my father and ask them to leave in their car. As soon as I reach downstairs I see my father’s car parked in the lot and getting ready to leave. There are many people near the car, all trying to getting in it. I am not able to make an eye contact with anyone, as if I have committed any crime. I can see my maternal grandfather, my sisters, my mom, dad and a many other relatives. Although car was too small for all to accommodate but still they are in it. Car is not getting started and dad with few other are trying to figure out the reason. Suddenly I feel someone’s hand on my shoulder and when I looked back, it was another relative of mine, girish. He offers a few of us ride in his car parked on the other side of lot. I and few others accept this offer and start moving with him. We pass through a canteen sort of area where I see lot of people . I get a feeling that this a place where art of living foundation have its growing influences. It can be it’s Bangalore ashram(can be). I spot rishi vidhyadharji sitting with a few people. When we reach the other gate of this canteen like area, from where girish’s car is just a few steps away. I realizes I have removed my shoes outside the canteen, I go back to the entrance and try to find them but they are missing. i suddenly move towards I different exit which is rarely used(don’t know why I didn’t went back to the canteen). I find myself feeling like a prisoner trying to escape. It’s a narrow way, which looks old and scary. I break open the door and find myself on a sloping road. I start moving downwards, when I see three eunuch coming upward towards me. They are claping fanatically and shouting something. I am freeze with fear as I can see anger in their eyes. They pass over me. I check my cell to see if my father has called or is trying to call but no such signs. Now I am on a road where I can see many shops and restaurants across the road. I spot a sandwich parlor, i move towards it to find out where am I exactly, as I open the door, it hits a guy sitting near the entrance, he is with a group of around 10-12 boys and girls. They are all having hookah. I apologize to this guy and move ahead towards the counter. There is no one there, I ask a person sitting at a table near counter, which place is this? He answers that it was some road no.. can’t remember the number. Everyone is looking at me as if they saw a alien. When I come out of the parlor, a guy comes out running towards me, he is mehul, my childhood friend. I find myself relaxed seeing him. Now I know I am not lost and can go with him to his place atleast. I ask him when is he going home, to which he reply he will go out with his friends and will take time. I explain the whole situation to a person standing outside the parlor that my father is at the other gate of ashram(I don’t know why I have started thinking it’s bangalore ashram) and ask him how much time will it take him to reach here if I call him. to which he answers, “a lot of time”. He calls his friend who is standing a few steps away with a few guys. He calls him sunny. I have never seen that face before. He is short heighted guy in formal cloths. This guy explains his friend sunny the whole situation. Sunny replies the same that it will take to long for my dad to reach here from the other gate. Its better I leave on my own. I ask him a way when two women suddenly walk through us. I could recognize their face, they were some public figures. I was getting more and more confused. I walk a few steps with sunny to find myself in a new area which look like some railway station. I ask him to tell me how to reach my place. He show me a red cloth with some design and suddenly I open my eye and realize it’s a dream. It’s 4.50 am in the morning. I am scared but I remember this dream very clearly.
